SYSA Spring Soccer

SYSA Spring Soccer was started by the late SYSA President and Queen Anne Club member Neil Callahan in 2002. The idea was to give kids a chance to play some fun soccer in the off season and improve their skills by getting more touches on the ball. Spring Soccer is not about winning or losing, standings or scores. Please take Neil's vision for Spring Soccer to heart and just let the kids play and enjoy the game in a fun, safe, creative way.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation in honor of Neil's commitment to Spring Soccer and the kids in SYSA.

Individual Player Registration Is CLOSED for U9 and Older Players Without Teams

NOTE: If your fall team is playing in spring, you DO NOT need to register as an individual player. Your coach registers the team and all the players. Then you reimburse the coach for your part of the team registration fee.

Registration is only open for players who have a team to play on. To register with a team, contact the SYSA registrar Anne at

U8 and Younger Players Without Teams

Players who are U8 and younger but do not have a team to play on can register for our Spring Skills & Games Academy. Because of the large number of players in this age group, and the small team rosters, we cannot find spots on our league teams at U8 and youngers.Instead, SYSA offers a six-week program called the Spring Skills & Games Academy. Click here for a FAQ that explains the Academy.

5 Minute Rule Guidelines

PRACTICE FIELDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE from Seattle Parks for Spring Soccer teams.

Please DO NOT send requests to Seattle Parks for a practice field. These get routed right back to SYSA's field assigner. There are no fields available for practice in the spring. Seattle and Shoreline Parks have been extremely accommodating in assigning us our game fields on Sundays. We appreciate your understanding of this reality.

Respect The 5 Minute Rule
All games MUST end 5 minutes before the hour. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please respect the teams and players with games after yours. END YOUR GAME ON TIME! Read these guidelines to help make the 5 Minute Rule work for all teams.
