City Tournament Game Schedules
REMEMBER: THIS IS A BLIND DRAW EVENT. THERE IS NO SEEDING OF TEAMS.
Schedules are posted complete as of November 19. Enjoy the tournament all!
Practice Fields for City Tournament Teams: Because the limited number of fields available are used as game fields, there is little opportunity for practice for teams in the tournament. All grass fields are closed so please stay off of the grass. We usually get some open field time for teams to share as practice fields. We will list those times here once they are available. Please note that games have priority over all practice times. Open Practice times to share with all others there listed here as of 11-18-2013.
2013 City Tournament Team Information
For each Gender/Age there is a list of teams. The ladder charts the progression of games to the finals. It will be updated with scores as each game is completed. Scores and progression of teams is posted each evening ~ 10 pm. Additional results posted the next day.

GU12 Its a bittersweet ending to the season - sad that it's over - not so sad that we don't have to freeze our rears off anymore....
GU14 The shoot-out was really a battle between two exceptional Keepers. Both were the first shooters and both nailed their goal. Then they both proceeded to block the next shots. In the end, finally the 5th shooter nailed her shot sealing the win! It was a tough, hard fought game under tough conditions
GU14 Terrific game played in the right
spirit and temperament that we all enjoy. The Cougars were a fabulous opponent and I was proud of our Silver Strikers, who gave it everything right up to the final seconds.
What I also want to add - is how terrific, our center was today. Russell managed the game perfectly. Our team has been
fortunate to have two amazing refs (Alison in the first game) and Russell today. Rarely, as coaches, we may forget to
acknowledge the great work done by officials in a very tough environment.
GU13 We lost to a very good, well coached team. (Winner was WSSC Almighty Tigers)
BU11 This is true sportsmanship!!! - The Magnolia team only had 7 players to start the game so the Ballard Bats coach, even though he had a full roster, only put 7 kids on the field too- to give everyone a good game. At one point the game was 2-1 and the ref said, "you know you can add more players anytime you want." The Bats coach kept only the amount of players that the Magnolia team had.
GU16 That LVR Pumas is a great bunch of girls! They play smart, tough soccer, but always fair and clean. They are coached by two of the nicest guys around. Our team loves to play them because they make us play our best soccer. It's a little nerve wracking because you never know what the outcome will be, but again, we always play our best with them. Partly it's the girls, but they also have two great coaches who I'm sure are a big reason they play so well and know the priorities - sportsmanship first. Their coaches (names are escaping me right now) are top drawer and that's the reason those girls are such a great team, whether they win or lose.
BU11 Pumas were a very well coached team
GU12 So proud of the Silver Division Bobcats tonight! With NO SUBS, they took on the #2 Gold Red Hotz (I think they had 6 SUBS!) and held them scoreless until about the last 5 minutes of the game. They never gave up and played tough til the final whistle. Even though they didn't win they knew they had given it their best and held them to just one goal!
GU15 The Ninjas were lucky to come out on top this evening against the HW Wildcats. They played with poise and hustle and kept up intense pressure for the full 80 minutes. It was a good game and the refs commented at the end that they were impressed that they didn't have to call a single foul the entire game.
BU15 Kicks went to 9 Rounds!!!
GU19 Nippy tonight but a fun fast paced match.
GU13 About the ref- he was great. In fact he was even cheerful about the weather! Said, "at least it's not raining!"
12-4 71 games on the first two dates and only 7 KFM! Players, your parent's blood pressure thank you!
GU13 Great referee who had total control. Would have liked to win but a great experience for the girls
BU14 Ouch! Santos is fun to watch, though!
BU14 It was a tough match fought very hard by both team
GU12 Definitely a game of two halves as The Valkyries outplayed us in the first half, we were lucky to be only one goal behind! Once the half-time cocoa kicked in, we were
fortunate to tuck away our three second half chances! Best of luck to The Valkyries as they played really well & were very sporting
GU12 First game and it was #1 Gold team playing #2 Gold team.... it was a nail biter. 3-3 at half time. Great competition
BU12 the only thing worse than the weather was the Seahawk game traffic!
BU12 from Sonic Panthers re the HW Pirates " They were good!"
BU13 this was my first time observing a citywide game and wow! rain, lightening call, aggression, this was hard core....I've never seen the boys play like this before, and the parents....can we say "competitive"! there was actual lightening and then we had to wait about 15 minutes (not sure exactly how long) in the rain and then continued match. it was very weird weather, and then on the way home we called 911 about a tree at magnuson that was on fire/struck by lightening, right on sand point way!
BU13 The lights went out with 6 minutes remaining. The opposing coach shook my hand in the dark and wished me luck for the remainder of the tournament but then agred to wait 10 minutes for the lights to come back on and we finished the game. We may be the worst team in the league, but we love playing together.
