Since 2011, SYSA and Seattle United have provided a fun and inclusive in school program called "Soccer In Schools” to the Seattle Public School District's elementary schools. The program brings the beautiful game of soccer into the classroom and shares it with elementary students all over the district. We build a curriculum that allows students of all levels to participate in skill building activities and games during their PE classes. The program is co-funded by SYSA and Seattle United and run by Community Outreach Director, Carlos Enriquez. The program is the cornerstone of our community partnership with the SPS, allowing us to create a fantastic relationships with elementary schools and to be a soccer resource to the SPS community. In addition to the “in school” program, we have provided after school programs, supported summer activities, and have helped with field day activities at individual schools. We are proud to provide all of these services absolutely free of charge to the students and the schools.

Seattle United has also started a program to support a SPS High School every season. In the fall of 2018, we supported the Cleveland High School Girls program and will be supporting a Boy’s High School program in the Spring of 2020.
