With a deep commitment to community and fairness, Woodland Soccer Club (WSC) is proud to provide recreational soccer opportunities to more than 1,250 children across the neighborhoods of Green Lake, Wallingford, Fremont, and Phinney Ridge. As one of the 12 neighborhood clubs in SYSA, Woodland continues to grow its programs while staying true to its mission: fostering a love for the game in a fun, equitable, and inclusive environment.
A Club Built on Balance and Belonging
Led by longtime president Steve Simpson, who has served the club for the past five years, WSC prioritizes team parity—ensuring no dominant or deficient teams. Their goal is to make every game a meaningful, enjoyable challenge, where players can grow their skills and confidence in a supportive setting. This emphasis on equity not only promotes better competition but also strengthens the sense of community among players and families.
